DOWNHILL SKIING

A few days ago my mom, Leo and I went to pick up my downhill skis at Burrows Specialized Sports
(one of the local sports stores).   I got K2 Indys!  K2 Indys are a downhill ski model with twin tips.
There great for you if your a 'park rat' skier.  I also got  a 'Transpack' ski bag that can hold your ski boots really well.  I'm am really excited for ski season.  At my school every year you do winter sports.  In kindergarden you go skating.  In first grade you can do skating or
cross-country skiing.  In second grade you can do skating, cross-country skiing, or downhill skiing, same in third grade.  In fourth grade you can do snowboarding, downhill skiing, or cross-country skiing.  Same in fifth and sixth grade.  In seventh and eighth grade you can do downhill skiing or snowboarding.

Caw!, Caw! (American Crow) A.K.A. Birdwatching

     I have recently gotten into birdwatching.  I've already seen a bunch of birds this spring.  I like birdwatching because it is very relaxing.  I love how I hear them singing outside my window. I also like their slender build, and especially how their wings fold up.  Most birds I can identify right away, like the Brown Headed Cowbird, or the American Robin, but their will always some mystery bird that I don't have the time to identify so I let it slide.  I have noticed this bird that has often been flying around in our field that I haven't gotten a good enough look at so I don't know what it is.  I think it lives in tree close to the field.  It's really nagging me.      I have three birding guides.  'The Peterson Field Guide To Birds Of North America', 'Florida birds' (I don't live in Florida, so I don't use this one so much.), and 'Vermont Birds'.
